Cochran and IaVarone Named January Athletes of the Month

Hudson Valley Community College Athletics has announced its January Athletes of the Month, recognizing women's track & field sophomore Alivia Cochran and men's bowling sophomore Salvatore Iavarone for their impact both in and out of competition, as well as their leadership within their teams.
Cochran, a throws specialist for the women's track & field team, is a Clifton Park native and Shenendehowa High School graduate majoring in psychology. She has made a consistent impact throughout the indoor season and stands out as a leader in practice, setting the tone through her work ethic, focus, and commitment to improvement.
Iavarone, a sophomore on the men's bowling team from Clifton Park and a Shenendehowa High School graduate, majors in accounting. He has made a strong impact on the lanes while also emerging as a leader during practices, demonstrating discipline, preparation, and a team-first mindset.
Both Cochran and Iavarone exemplify the standards of HVCC Athletics through their dedication to academics, competitive excellence, and leadership. Their recognition as January Athletes of the Month reflects the positive influence they have on their teammates and programs.
