The Hudson Valley Community College men's basketball team fell at home to Herkimer College on Wednesday night, 89-49.
The Generals jumped out to an early lead and carried a 42-26 advantage into halftime before extending their margin in the second half. The Vikings struggled to find consistency on offense, shooting 24.6 percent from the field and 21.4 percent from three-point range.
Jacob Baccaro paced Hudson Valley with 16 points on 6-of-8 shooting, while Julius Reed added 11 points, including a pair of three-pointers. Ian Fisher-Layton chipped in 8 points for the Vikings.
With the loss, Hudson Valley moves to 0-4 on the season. The Vikings are back in action on Saturday, November 15, when they travel to Tompkins Cortland Community College for a 1 p.m. tipoff.
