The Hudson Valley Community College men's basketball team dropped a road contest to SUNY Adirondack, 92–78, on Wednesday night.
The Vikings stayed within striking distance throughout the first half, trailing 45–40 at the break, but SUNY Adirondack maintained control in the second half and outscored Hudson Valley 47–38 to secure the win.
Hudson Valley was led offensively by Fabian Wheatley, who scored a team-high 28 points off the bench. Kemontae Thawe added 19 points, while Julius Reed chipped in 12 points. Jacob Baccaro and Marcus Steele each contributed four points to round out the scoring for the Vikings.
Hudson Valley will look to bounce back this weekend when they travel to Corning Community College on Saturday, January 31, with tip-off scheduled for 3 p.m.
