The Hudson Valley Community College men's basketball team dropped an 88–69 decision to Herkimer College on the road Tuesday night. With the loss, the Vikings move to 8–14 on the season.
Hudson Valley stayed competitive early, trailing 45–38 at halftime, but Herkimer pulled away in the second half to secure the win. Kemontae Thawe led the Vikings with 21 points, while Julius Reed and Fabian Wheatley each added 15 points. Jacob Baccaro finished with nine points, and Ian Fisher-Layton chipped in five.
Hudson Valley will look to bounce back as they continue their road trip, traveling to North Country Community College on Thursday, February 5. Tipoff is scheduled for 7:00 p.m.
