Men's Bowling Placed 7th at RIT's Tiger Cup
The Hudson Valley Community College men's bowling team turned in a strong showing at the Tiger Cup in Canandaigua, finishing 7th overall in a competitive varsity field.
Team Performance
HVCC posted a 3647 pinfall total during team games, highlighted by an outstanding 1044 opening game, one of the highest single-game team scores in the event. The Vikings followed that with games of 833, 800, and a strong bounce-back 970 in Game 4.
In Baker play, HVCC added 1482 additional pins behind consistent mid-190 performances early and a 223 in Baker Game 3. The Vikings finished the day with a combined 5129 total pins.

Thomas Quinn – 813 series (203.3 avg)
Quinn led the Vikings with a big 256 final game after steady earlier scores (197–176–184). His late surge sealed an 11th-place finish overall. -
Aaron Mantello – 777 series (194.3 avg)
Mantello opened strong with 215 and stayed consistent across his block to place 16th in the field. -
Salvatore Iavarone – 723 series (180.8 avg)
Iavarone posted a high game of 211 and helped HVCC maintain scoring depth with a top-30 finish. -
Aidan Rutski – 695 series (173.8 avg)
Rutski delivered HVCC's second-highest single game of the day with a 234 in Game 1. -
Matt Sajise – 639 series (159.8 avg)
Sajise added key mid-lineup stability to round out HVCC's scoring five.
Overall
Hudson Valley showed competitive depth and flashes of high-end scoring, led by Quinn's top-tier performance and the team's explosive 1044 opener. Their 7th-place finish places them solidly among strong programs including RIT, Mercyhurst, Penn State, and Erie CC.
