Vikings Golf NJCAA National Tournament Round 1 Recap

The Hudson Valley Vikings opened up Round 1 of the NJCAA National Tournament at Chautauqua Golf Club with a team total of 34-over-par (647). Jonathan Reynolds led the way for the Vikings with a steady round of 76 (+4), highlighted by birdies on holes 10 and 17. Steve Jordan followed closely behind with a 77 (+5), showing consistency on the back nine with three straight pars to close his round.

Joshua Carr posted an 83 (+11), while Hunter Willett carded an 86 (+14), both battling through some tough stretches but finishing strong on their closing holes. John Grant rounded out the scoring with a 93 (+21), notching a birdie on the par-3 8th.

The Vikings will look to improve heading into Round 2 as they continue their push in the national tournament, June 4th at 10am.
