Vikings Golf Earns Runner-Up Finish, Qualifies for NJCAA National Championships

The Hudson Valley Community College men's golf team is headed to the national stage after a strong showing at the Region 3 Championship Tournament, earning a 2nd place finish and securing a berth to the NJCAA National Championships.
Competing at Chautauqua Golf Club, the Vikings combined for a two-day team score of 643 to lock in their spot among the nation's best programs. Hudson Valley was led by Stephen Jordan, who carded rounds of 81 and 74 to finish with a team-best 155 overall.
Nick Walsh and Will Jennings each finished with a 162 total over the two-day event. Jennings opened the tournament with a 76 in round one, while Walsh followed with a strong 80 on day one and 82 in the final round. Tommy Wall added a 165 total, and Logan Gilbo rounded out the Vikings lineup with a 170.
With the runner-up finish, the Vikings officially punched their ticket to the NJCAA National Championships, set to take place June 3-6 in Chautauqua, New York.
Hudson Valley continues to build momentum heading into nationals as the Vikings prepare to compete against the top NJCAA programs in the country.
