The Hudson Valley Community College men's lacrosse team delivered a statement performance on Senior Day, overpowering Mohawk Valley Community College, 22-1, on Monday afternoon at the OAC. Prior to the game, the Vikings honored their ten sophomores: Jonathan Rafael-Urrego, Cole Vumbaco, Jake Marsh, Romeyn Murray, Zachary Rogers, Gabriel D'Angelo, Mitchell Calhoun, Bryson Grimes, Benjamin Stramezzi, and Nicholas Lagitch. The group made its presence felt throughout the afternoon, playing a pivotal role in one of the team's most complete performances of the season.
The Vikings (4-6, 2-1) controlled every aspect of the game from the opening faceoff, jumping out to a 5-0 lead after the first quarter and never looking back. Hudson Valley extended its advantage to 11-0 by halftime and continued to pour it on in the second half, highlighted by a seven-goal fourth quarter.
