Hudson Valley Community College men's soccer (6-8-2) were defeated in their regular season finale 9-0 by No. 7 Genesee on Saturday afternoon at the Outdoor Athletic Complex on the campus of Hudson Valley Community College.
Despite the loss, the Vikings qualified for Region 3 postseason play as the No. 10 seed and will travel to play No. 7 seed Broome on Tuesday, Oct. 29 at 2 p.m. The Vikings tied Broome 0-0 in double overtime before Broome claimed the tiebreaker with a 4-3 penalty kick win.
