The Hudson Valley Community College men's cross country team turned in another strong performance on Saturday, finishing third overall at the SUNY Poly Wildcat Invitational in Utica, NY.
Freshman Alan Arnold led the Vikings with an impressive effort, racing to a second-place finish in 27:56 on the 8K course. His top three performance highlighted a breakout day for the program against a deep regional field. Sophomore Michael Kleinman added a top-10 finish, crossing in 29:44 for tenth place, while freshman David Rambharose secured valuable team points with a 20th-place time of 30:59.
Hudson Valley's depth carried the squad to its team podium finish, as freshman Yaseen Osmani (34:43) and Kaleb Pettit (38:26) rounded out the Vikings' scoring five. The team's collective effort earned them a spot in the top three behind Hobart and St. John Fisher, demonstrating both front-runner talent and developing depth throughout the roster.
Hudson Valley will return to action next weekend as they prepare to compete in the annual James Earley Invitational on Oct. 11, hosted by Westfield State in Westfield, Mass., building momentum toward the Region III Championships.
