Women's Basketball Drops Home Contest to Fulton-Montgomery

The Hudson Valley Community College women's basketball team dropped a 61-32 decision to Fulton-Montgomery Community College on Wednesday night at home. The Vikings move to 8-5 overall and 2-2 in conference play following the loss.
Hudson Valley held an early lead after the first quarter, 11-9, but Fulton-Montgomery used a strong second quarter to take a 24-18 advantage into halftime. The Raiders continued to build momentum in the second half, outscoring the Vikings 37-14 over the final two quarters to secure the road win.
Alessia Salierno led Hudson Valley with nine points, while Lila Christensen added eight points, six rebounds, and two blocks. Samantha Graham contributed six points and eight rebounds, and Morgan Hayden finished with seven assists and seven rebounds. The Vikings were limited to 24.5 percent shooting from the field and 12.5 percent from three-point range.
Hudson Valley will look to bounce back on the road when the Vikings travel to SUNY Adirondack on Wednesday, January 28, with tipoff scheduled for 5 p.m.
