The Hudson Valley Community College women's soccer team (10-4) extended its win-streak to six straight games after defeating Bergen Community College 2-0 in Paramus, N.J.
Traveling short-handed, the Vikings were able to secure their third consecutive shutout win behind the strong play by goalkeeper Kaitlin Nadeau (Latham/Shaker) and forward Madison Pinzer (Wynantskill/Troy).
Hudson Valley took the 1-0 lead with 3:59 remaining in the first half when Pinzer sent a pass to the left side to Paige Bailey (Scotia/Scotia-Glenville). Bailey secured the pass and sent a shot to the back of the net for her fifth goal of the season.
With 27-seconds remaining in the game, the Vikings were awarded a penalty kick opportunity. Pinzer was selected to take the kick and she successfully converted the attempt to give Hudson Valley the 2-0 win.
