Vikings Women’s Track & Field Tallies 10 Top-10 Finishes, Sets School Record at Jonathan Tymann Invitational

The Hudson Valley Community College women's track & field team delivered a strong, well-rounded performance at the Jonathan Tymann Invitational at Gordon College, recording 10 top-10 finishes and a school-record performance.
The highlight of the day came in the 4x100-meter relay, where the team of Emily Wilson, Alana Dickson, Qimora Johnson, and Noddy Udeh raced to a first-place finish in 51.08, setting a new school record.
In the field, freshman Nadia Khan led the way with a second-place finish in the shot put (8.85m) while also adding a 10th-place finish in the hammer throw (24.31m). Sophomore Athena Seebald turned in a standout performance in the 3000-meter steeplechase, placing third in 14:34.61 and meeting national qualifying standards.
Freshman Ava Dwyer continued her strong season in the middle distance, placing fifth in the 800 meters with a time of 2:38.88, also hitting a national qualifying mark.
Additional top-10 finishes included Megan May tying for sixth in the pole vault (2.30m), Alana Dickson placing seventh in the 100 meters (13.35), and Paulina Ostrander finishing eighth in the 5000 meters (22:45.57). In the throws, Megan Cowles recorded a ninth-place finish in the javelin (27.80m), while Rebecca Church placed 10th in the 5000 meters (24:32.96).
Hudson Valley will look to carry its momentum into its next meet at the SNHU Invitational on Saturday, April 11.
