Volleyball Sweeps Fulton-Montgomery, Improves to 9-0

The Hudson Valley Community College women's volleyball team continued its dominant start to the 2025 season with a decisive 3-0 victory over Fulton-Montgomery Community College on Tuesday evening. The Vikings controlled the match from start to finish, winning by set scores of 25-10, 25-16, and 25-18.
The win lifts Hudson Valley to 9-0 on the year, solidifying their position as the No. 1-ranked team in Region III and No. 10 in the NJCAA national poll.
Brooke Poutre led the offensive charge with nine kills, three service aces, and 12 total points, while Lillian Fros added six kills, four digs, and a block assist. Setter Gabriella Kholstinin orchestrated the offense with 20 assists and chipped in four digs. Defensively, Emily Coffey anchored the back row with a team-high 22 digs, helping the Vikings limit Fulton-Montgomery's scoring opportunities.
Hudson Valley's balanced attack also featured strong serving, as the team tallied 12 aces overall, with Hayden LeFever and Jocelyn Caputo each contributing three.
The Vikings return to action this Saturday on the road at Jefferson Community College for a Region III doubleheader, facing Jefferson at 12 p.m. followed by Fulton-Montgomery at 2 p.m.
