Hudson Valley Volleyball Ranked #9 Nationally After 11–0 Start

TROY, N.Y. – September 23, 2025 – The Hudson Valley Community College women's volleyball team has climbed to #9 in the NJCAA Division III Week 4 Poll following an undefeated 11–0 start to the 2025 season. The Vikings have showcased one of the most complete rosters in the nation, combining offensive depth, defensive consistency, and strong serve/receive play to remain unbeaten.
On offense, the Vikings feature a balanced attack. Sophomore outside hitter Brooke Poutre leads the team with 75 kills (2.27 per set) and 93.5 points, while freshman middle/right side Jocelyn Caputo has matched her with 75 kills (2.14 per set) and a team-high 111 points on a .267 hitting percentage. Freshman middle Lillian Fros has added 66 kills (1.89 per set) on a .257 hitting clip, while freshman outside/middle Hayden LeFever has contributed 63 kills (2.17 per set). Freshman right side Madison LaCouture rounds out the balanced front line with 54 kills (1.69 per set).
Defensively, sophomore libero Emily Coffey anchors the back row with a team-high 126 digs (3.60 per set). Kholstinin has added 63 digs, while Fros has been a force at the net with 26 total blocks (0.74 per set). Caputo has recorded 19 blocks and 55 digs, LaCouture has posted 57 digs and 7 blocks, and Poutre has contributed 50 digs and 7 blocks, highlighting the Vikings' all-around defensive strength. LeFever has also been steady with 36 digs and 10 blocks.
The Vikings have also been dangerous at the service line. LeFever leads with 24 aces (0.83 per set), followed by LaCouture with 26 aces (0.81 per set) and a team-high 97 receptions. Caputo has added 23 aces (0.66 per set) with 94 receptions, while setter Gabriella Kholstinin has chipped in 21 aces (0.60 per set) and has been steady in serve-receive.
Hudson Valley's combination of offensive versatility, defensive coverage, and service efficiency has powered its unbeaten start and vaulted the program into the national top ten. The Vikings will look to continue building momentum as Region 3 play intensifies.
