Hudson Valley Community College proudly announces that volleyball captain and starting setter Gabriella Kholstinin has been selected to the 2025 NJCAA Division III Volleyball All-American Second Team. This prestigious honor recognizes her as one of the top players in the nation and marks one of the most significant individual achievements in program history.
Kholstinin's leadership and on-court excellence were central to a historic 2025 season, in which the Vikings completed an undefeated regular season and advanced to the NJCAA National Tournament for the first time in program history. Her ability to command the offense, elevate the play of those around her, and perform in high-pressure moments played a major role in the team's record-setting run.
This season, Kholstinin delivered exceptional numbers, totaling 700 assists (7.95 per set) while also contributing 44 service aces, 186 digs, 18 blocks, and 86 total points—highlighting her all-around impact and consistency on the court. A standout setter in Region 3 and across the NJCAA, she provided consistency, competitiveness, and leadership that defined the Vikings' success.
The All-American honor adds to an already remarkable year for Kholstinin, who earlier this season became the first player in Hudson Valley volleyball history to surpass 1,000 career assists, making her the program's All-Time Career Assist Leader.
Hudson Valley Community College celebrates Gabriella's achievements and the legacy she leaves as one of the most accomplished volleyball players to ever wear a Vikings uniform.
