No. 8 Women’s Cross Country Takes Fourth at Fred Pavlich Invitational
The nationally ranked Hudson Valley Community College women's cross country team, coming in at No. 8 in the Week 1 NJCAA Division III poll, placed fourth overall at the Fred Pavlich Invitational. The Vikings ran a combined 2:29:02 among their top five, averaging 29:48 per runner with just over a four-minute scoring spread.
Athena Seebald led Hudson Valley with a strong top-10 finish, crossing the line in 27:29.4. She was closely followed by Brianna Doria, who placed 15th in 28:17.0, while Paulina Ostrander added a solid 27th-place showing in 30:21.5. Rounding out the Vikings' scoring five were Alana Dickson (31:22.5) and Talia Moore (31:32.0), with Rebecca Church (31:52.7) and Emily Wilson (32:27.3) providing important depth in the lineup.
With Seebald and Doria anchoring the front of the pack and a tight cluster behind them, the Vikings showed why they are among the top-ranked programs in the country. Their fourth-place finish adds another strong performance to the early season and continues to build momentum heading into Region III competition.
